After the successes of ‘Macho’ sold out premiere in 2016 and the 2018 North East regional tour, The company was awarded funding in 2021 by Arts Council England to create a new ground-breaking dance film.
Featuring two male dancers, Macho digital is sculpted around real men’s stories and explores why and how society fails to adequately address men’s mental health problems and the stigma surrounding men’s vulnerabilities and emotional wellbeing.

Michael has successfully transcended Macho from stage to screen with his first film debut ‘Macho digital’ in which he directed and produced achieving national and international claim winning a Merit of awareness award from the Awareness film festival in LA, Semi Finalist in the Berlin Shorts Award and achieving both finalist and Nominee awards at the British Short Film Awards in categories for Best British Director Michael Heatley, Best Cinematography Jonathan Ackley and Best Long Short Macho digital.
